Caprese Sandwich
Caprese is a traditional Italian combination of tomatoes, mozzarella and
fresh basil. Serve it on crusty whole wheat bread and enjoy this tasty
low-fat and easy to make sandwich.
INGREDIENTS:
8 slices whole wheat bread
2 ripe fresh tomatoes
4 lettuce leaves
8 ounces fat free mozzarella cheese
1/3 cup fresh basil
2 teaspoons olive oil
Pepper to taste
PREPARATION:
Layer sliced tomatoes, lettuce and sliced cheese on bread slices.
Sprinkle basil. Drizzle with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
